Venezia Photo runs photography workshops in Venice year-round, from the island of San Servolo. They come out of the festival of the same name, which has run seven editions here and has welcomed Steve McCurry, Peter Lindbergh, Albert Watson, Martin Parr and Oliviero Toscani, among others.
What a workshop is like
- Two to four days, depending on the format.
- Small groups, led by a working photographer.
- Shooting, then editing together — the lagoon at dawn, the markets, the quiet backstreets, and the long look at the take afterwards.
Some sessions are open to individual photographers. Others are built privately, around the dates and interests of a club, a society or a company.
